We get it a lot, "I want to try your coffee but where do I start?"
Look our goal is simply to source and roast exceptional coffee to be enjoyed by everyone. The use of the word 'specialty' for coffee is intended to identify coffees rated at a score of 80 or higher from a quality perspective but there are so many immeasurable values that truly make this coffee "special".
1) Our recommendation, start with the bundle and explore the range of our coffee portfolio through a sampling of a single origin and blend.
2) Been there and on to the next consideration? Try out our coffee club! We curate a package for you monthly or quarterly with selections exclusive to our members available and the opportunity to learn alongside your freshly brewed cup.
3) Still just want a little more guidance? We got you! Check our product labels for our profile identifiers to guide the explorer in us: SETTLER, WANDERER, and NOMAD.
After all Bolden Beans Coffee Company was born out of the sense of wonder and adventure. Taking selections from all over the world to roast and share through friends and family so that we could all experience what the different producers, origins, altitudes, soil, varietal, etc. had to offer. You'll find how the tasting profile of our selections stack up with a little coffee bean highlight behind one of these descriptors. We hope this does just the trick to help you along your coffee journey with us!

Balanced, Toasted, Comforting

A “settler” coffee leans into tradition—think medium roasts with notes of toffee, cocoa, gentle nuttiness, and a soft acidity. It’s the cup that feels like home: smooth, steady, and endlessly drinkable. No fireworks—just a reliable daily ritual.
WANDERER
A “wanderer” in the coffee world is someone curious and open—ready to explore beyond the basics but still wants a gentle guide along the way. They crave discovery, but not chaos.

NOMAD
A “nomad” coffee drinker thrives on discovery. They’re not tied to one flavor, origin, or roast—they chase the thrill of the new, the rare, the wild. Every cup is a chance to roam.
Tasting Profile Summary:
Vibrant, Complex, Adventurous

The “nomad” coffee is a shape-shifter—bursting with bold acidity, layered fruit, floral highs, funky naturals, or savory depth. It may be a washed Kenyan today, an anaerobic Colombia tomorrow.
